Palliative Care Registered Nurse Job Summary

The Hospice of Darke County is seeking a skilled Palliative Care Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Palliative Care Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for consulting with patients and families seeking information about our Palliative Care Program. This role will provide additional support to the admissions team, patients, and families.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide expert consultation to patients and families regarding our Palliative Care Program.
  2. Collaborate with the admissions team to ensure seamless patient care.
  3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  4. Stay up-to-date on the latest palliative care best practices and guidelines.

Requirements:
  1. Graduation from an approved School of Nursing.
  2. Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio.
  3. Minimum of three years of Hospice experience, Medical/Surgical, Oncology or community health nursing.
  4. Palliative Care experience preferred.
  5. Healthcare sales and/or marketing experience preferred.

Special Skills and Requirements:
  1. Shall have a valid driver's license.
  2. Excellent customer service skills.
  3. Detail oriented with excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
  4. Ability to follow instructions.
  5. Ability to work independently without supervision.
  6. Travel to other sites as needed.
  7. Ability to lift 25 lbs. of supplies or equipment.
