Job Summary

Lone Star College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Architectural Engineering Technology-AutoCAD courses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AutoCAD and architectural engineering technology, as well as excellent teaching and communication skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses, including AutoCAD and architectural engineering technology, at a variety of times and locations. They will also be expected to create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material, submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner, and utilize a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines.

The Adjunct Faculty member will also be responsible for meeting with and advising students, evaluating student progress, and maintaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to student-centered education and a passion for teaching and learning. They will also be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach AutoCAD and architectural engineering technology courses at a variety of times and locations
  • Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
  • Submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner
  • Utilize a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines
  • Meet with and advise students, evaluate student progress, and maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of documented experience working or teaching in a related field
  • License or appropriate teaching certifications required when teaching courses regulated by a licensing body or certifying authority
