Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrician - Licensed to join our team at the City of Clovis, NM. As an Electrician - Licensed, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in our wastewater treatment facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment, including motors, generators, and control systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment, including testing and troubleshooting.
  • Work with electrical diagrams and blueprints to identify and repair electrical issues.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure smooth operation of the facility.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid New Mexico Journeyman Electrician License required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in electrical maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and exert a minimum of 100 pounds of force.
Working Conditions

The physical requirement of this position includes standing, sitting, and bending at the waist and knees. Climbing stairs, working on suspended machinery and equipment at heights to one hundred (100) feet, and climbing and working from ladders are also required. The ability to work in inclement weather, including snow, cold, rain, heat, humidity, sun, etc., is necessary. Hearing and seeing plant alarm devices and communicating effectively in writing and verbal, including when using communications devices such as two-way radios, telephones, and pagers, are also required.
