Position Summary

The Automotive Service Technician plays a crucial role in executing vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks as assigned, adhering to the standards set by both the dealership and the manufacturer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Employ diagnostic tools to pinpoint mechanical, electrical, and other vehicle-related issues.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and various automotive systems as specified in repair orders.
  • Work diligently to diagnose issues and finalize repairs within the designated timeframes.
  • Collaborate with service advisors and the parts department to effectively prioritize and schedule repairs.
  • Perform comprehensive quality inspections to ensure all repairs meet or exceed industry standards and assess if additional safety service work is necessary.
  • Promptly address any discrepancies or issues with the Service Advisor (parts, promised time, etc.).
  • Accurately document all diagnostic and repair activities.
  • Complete repair orders and maintain meticulous records of services rendered.
  • Participate in factory-sponsored training sessions to stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and industry developments.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic or Automotive Service Technician in a dealership or similar automotive repair environment.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of automotive systems, components, and repair methodologies.
  • Possession of a personal set of tools is required.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • All candidates must be authorized to work in the USA.
  • All candidates must demonstrate the ability to pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, MVR, drug tests, and valid driver license verification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a Mechanic or Automotive Service Technician.
  • Nissan certification is a plus.
  • Experience in rebuilding and replacing engines and transmissions.
  • ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications or manufacturer training is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

Compensation:

  • $55.00 or more per hour
    • Compensation is based on experience, certifications, and qualifications.
  • Tenure Bonus program available after 6 months of employment.
    • Bonus pay up to $3.50 per flat rate hour.

Work Schedule:

  • FULL TIME
  • 5 days a week with 2 days off
  • Sundays are designated as off days
  • Service Drive Hours:
    • Monday to Friday: 7:30am - 6pm
    • Saturday: 8am - 1pm
