Job Summary

The Nurse-Resident role is a critical component of our healthcare team, responsible for delivering high-quality patient care while refining nursing knowledge and skills. As a Nurse-Resident, you will work under the direct supervision of our Clinical Education Team to develop and implement effective care plans, manage clinical situations, and maintain accurate documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment: Collect and analyze patient data, completing required forms with accurate responses according to unit standards, and perform nursing assessments using critical thinking skills under the direct supervision of a licensed RN.
  • Planning Care: Develop comprehensive care plans based on the nursing process, incorporating the plans of other disciplines and continuing care needs, and involving patients and families in developing or revising care plans.
  • Implementing/Managing Care: Provide care that conforms to accepted practice standards, administer treatments and procedures as prescribed, and act as an advocate and coordinator of patient care with other healthcare personnel.
  • Evaluation: Record patient care delivered as planned and any variations, with appropriate rationale, and implement nursing measures related to impending or associated problems under the direct supervision of a licensed RN.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing program approved by the South Carolina State Board of Nursing required.
  • Licensed to practice as a RN in South Carolina.
  • BLS required.
Working Conditions

This is a non-management role that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive. The work environment is a fast-paced, dynamic setting that requires strong communication and teamwork skills.
