Introduction

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our Women's Services Unit. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to expectant mothers and their families. With a focus on delivering exceptional outcomes, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans for laboring patients, prioritizing their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including test results, medication administration, and progress notes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current Florida Registered Nurse license, with compact licensure a plus.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care setting, preferably in labor and delivery or maternal-fetal medicine.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications, with NRP certification a plus.
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
