We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our Women's Services Unit. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to laboring mothers and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, and evaluate the care of laboring mothers, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
- Collaborate with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting informed decision-making and empowerment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including test results and examination findings.
- Current Florida Registered Nurse licensure, with compact licensure accepted.
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
- Previous experience in an acute care setting, preferably in labor and delivery or obstetrics.
- Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications, with NRP certification within 6 months.
- Excellent critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
