Job Title: School Aged Child Care Assistant

Helena Public Schools is seeking a qualified School Aged Child Care Assistant to join our team. As a Para Educator, you will work closely with the SACC Site Manager to provide a safe and engaging environment for children aged K-5.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise children's activities and redirect individuals into positive play.
  • Assist children in maintaining standards of appropriate behavior and health habits.
  • Cooperate with other program staff to create a harmonious and efficient environment.
  • Interact positively with parents and refer questions and concerns to the site manager.
  • Perform clerical and housekeeping duties as assigned.
  • Oversee the use and storage of equipment and materials.
  • Provide support in planned activities such as field trips and visiting resource persons.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience as a licensed or registered group or family day care provider or day care center staff preferred.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Benefits:

Competitive salary range of $14.80 to $18.33 per hour, depending on education level and relevant work experience. Generous benefits package including paid sick and vacation leave, health benefits, and retirement.
