About the Role

Soliant is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Therapeutic Education Specialist in the Washington, DC area. As a Therapeutic Education Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work with multiple schools and provide occupational therapy services to students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and diagnose occupational therapy needs of students through comprehensive assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's unique needs.
  • Provide direct therapy to students in individual or group settings, promoting their academic and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure student progress and support.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient conditions, treatment plans, therapy sessions, and progress.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide recommendations for student support.
  • Supervise and guide occupational therapy assistants as needed, ensuring the highest level of care.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Full accreditation as an Occupational Therapist (OTR) is preferred.
  • Minimum 1+ years of experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a school setting.
