Job Summary

Benchmark Human Services is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Assistant to join our team. As a Production Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial services, including direct labor, material handling, and quality control/inspection duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform direct labor duties, including assembly, cleaning, and machine operation, to maintain good production flow and meet customer requirements.
  • Conduct material handling duties, such as wrapping pallets, packaging finished goods, labeling cases/pallets, inventorying materials and finished goods, and reorganizing materials for production.
  • Perform inspection duties, including visual inspection, using go/no go gauges, and weigh counting, as assigned.
  • Work with Team Leaders in job set-ups and client training as needed.
  • Assist Management and Team Lead staff in the development of fixtures for use on the production floor.
  • Organize and maintain a housekeeping program on the production floor, including raw materials, work in process, and finished goods.
  • Maintain and respond to a general awareness of safety in the work area.
  • Assist with client service needs as requested.
Requirements
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and perform inventory counting and recording.
  • Must be able to work independently or as part of a team and follow work instructions.
  • Must be familiar with or willing to learn basic hand tools and general understanding of basic housekeeping and maintenance tasks.
