Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team at American Builders Supply Inc. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers by resolving issues related to millwork products on job sites and homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Calls: Perform scheduled service calls to job sites and homes to resolve issues related to millwork products.
  • Documentation: Obtain homeowner or superintendent signature on service tickets upon completion and submit electronically to the service department.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with customers to resolve issues and provide excellent customer service.
  • Inventory Management: Use the Bistrack Mobile Delivery App to deliver materials and take delivery photos.
  • Warehouse Operations: Submit completed and signed service tickets upon returning to the warehouse and review tickets to pick and pull components for the next day.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Complete weekly checklists of service vans and schedule maintenance as needed.
  • Training and Development: Provide training to new service technicians and work with service schedulers to resolve field issues in a timely manner.
  • General Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the service van, and perform general housekeeping responsibilities after each job.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1-3 years of prior construction or technical experience.
  • Knowledge: Some knowledge of millwork construction supplies.
  • Skills: Ability to think fast, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to safely lift up to 100 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a construction site environment, which includes loud noises, high temperatures, and humidity. You will also be working in and around machinery and equipment, and interacting with customers and colleagues at all levels.
