The Department of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Minnesota is seeking a qualified individual to fill a temporary, non-tenured Academic Professional and Administrative position as a Teaching Specialist or Lecturer in the Curriculum and Instruction Program.

This is a part-time, paid-on-a-per-course-basis position, with applications reviewed as openings occur. The successful candidate will be appointed to a Fall, Spring, Summer, or full year part-time Teaching Specialist or Lecturer in Curriculum and Instruction during the academic year.

Job Responsibilities
  • Teaching (90%): Deliver course content, evaluate student performance, and respond to student inquiries.
  • Course Preparation (10%): Complete orientation and training, meet with faculty, develop course content and syllabus, and prepare course materials.
Qualifications
  • An earned master's in Education or a closely related field is required for appointment as a Teaching Specialist.
  • An earned doctorate in Education or a closely related field is required for appointment as a Lecturer.
  • Evidence of attention to diverse identities in teaching or professional experience, and a commitment to support the University's work in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
