Exciting Opportunity for a Technology Leader

Kellogg Community Credit Union is seeking a seasoned technology professional to lead our Information Technology team. As the Vice President of Information Technology, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of long- and short-term strategic operational plans for information technology that align with the organization's strategic priorities and business needs.
  • Develop strategies, goals, and metrics to ensure the IT department runs smoothly and effectively.
  • Accountable for improving business continuity processes for the organization, including disaster recovery, departmental recovery plans, collaboration with departmental leaders to develop business impact assessment, computer security and loss prevention plans, antivirus and firewall protections, and more.
  • Researches industry trends in technology to ensure the credit union remains competitive in its product and service offerings.
  • Evaluates, creates, and adapts technology platforms to enhance member and staff experience.
  • Negotiates cost-effective contracts for the purchase of new systems, hardware, software, or peripherals.
  • Develops, updates, monitors, and continuously ensures compliance with the disaster recovery plans, computer security and loss prevention plans, antivirus and firewall protections, and more.
  • Ensures that operational manuals and documentation are accurate and up to date.
  • Prepares, implements, and supervises the budget for the department that is consistent with the overall strategic plan and budget of the credit union.
  • Develops, applies, and evaluates policies and procedures for the department.

Requirements:

  • Eight to ten years of similar or related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree, professional certification, or a master's degree.
  • Strong ability to lead, motivate, and influence others.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to assess risk.
  • Strong attention to detail, strong computer skills, and excellent time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills, written and oral.
  • Ability to interact with others on a regular basis, build and foster relationships.
