Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated 2nd Shift & 3rd Shift Maintenance Operations Supervisor. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our production meets the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. The successful candidate will report to the Plant Manager or Repair Manager and will oversee various supervisory roles within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the hourly workforce engaged in the repair and maintenance of railroad tank cars and other rolling stock.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and company policies during repair processes.
  • Conduct inspections of completed work to maintain quality control and adherence to AAR and DOT standards.
  • Monitor production schedules and manage workflow to meet established goals.
  • Implement safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support team projects.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma and extensive knowledge of AAR/DOT regulations, along with several years of supervisory experience in a repair facility or heavy industrial setting. Familiarity with welding, painting, and coating techniques is advantageous.

Working Environment:

This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in various conditions, including heights and confined spaces. Candidates must be prepared to adhere to safety protocols and wear necessary protective equipment.
