About the Role

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Bridge Design Project Engineer III to join our team in Louisville, KY. As a key member of our transportation infrastructure team, you will have the opportunity to work on high-profile projects, including the Brent Spence Bridge Corridor project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare structural designs, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for transportation structures, including bridges, retaining walls, and drainage structures.
  • Provide load rating analysis, rehabilitation concepts, and structure type analysis evaluations.
  • Use current engineering design software to deliver high-quality designs.
  • Coordinate with other design teams and disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
  • Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
  • Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
  • Propose approaches to solve new problems encountered.
  • Identify discrepancies in results.
  • Provide guidance to entry-level engineers.
  • Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
Requirements
  • BS + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Ability to pass MVR check.
  • Preferred qualifications include professional engineering-related work environment with heavy emphasis on design of highway bridges, PE licensure, and 6+ years of demonstrated KTC bridge design project work.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard computer software, such as OpenRoads and OpenBridge, is highly preferred.
