Job Summary

Enviva is seeking a highly skilled Rail Load Out Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient loading of railcars with wood pellets.

Responsibilities

  • Equipment Maintenance
    • Perform regular inspections of equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
    • Analyze equipment performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize throughput and quality.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Develop and maintain operational records to track equipment performance and maintenance.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure seamless operations.
    • Enter maintenance work requests and coordinate with maintenance teams as needed.
  • Housekeeping and Safety
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
    • Escalate any safety concerns or issues promptly for resolution.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Must demonstrate mechanical aptitude and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to work in outdoor environments and withstand extreme temperatures.
    • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Working Conditions
    • Must be willing to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment.
    • Must be able to wear safety equipment and adhere to strict safety protocols.
