POSITION SUMMARY
A leading manufacturer in the frozen dessert sector is seeking a proactive and innovative Process Engineer I to join their team. In this role, you will provide mechanical engineering expertise focused on processing systems for both raw and pasteurized products, encompassing storage, handling, and transfer operations. You will also be tasked with offering technical assistance, coordinating, and facilitating the installation and initiation of small-scale process engineering projects assigned to the Engineering Workshop, utilizing both internal and external resources.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Support
- Assist in the installation, initiation, and troubleshooting of product processing systems.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of process systems such as Clean-In-Place (CIP) and pasteurization methods.
Process Enhancement
- Engage in efforts to boost system efficiency, minimize costs, and resolve technical challenges.
- Support the development of new products through innovative engineering solutions.
Project Management
- Lead and coordinate small-scale projects, including construction activities, equipment initiation, and operator training.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize process systems and achieve cost savings.
Documentation
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including engineering schematics and cost assessments.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Fundamental understanding of dairy processing and industry standards.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management capabilities.
- Proficient in software applications such as CAD and Office Suite.
