Job Summary

As a Commercial Construction Project Manager at Michael Page, you will be responsible for managing client expectations, queries, and project information flow. You will also be responsible for timely final subcontractor reconciliation and billing, punchlist, and all final closeout. Additionally, you will participate in developing best practices in project management and implement by leading by example. You will develop detailed construction budgets and construction schedules including milestones, duration's, and dependencies. You will contribute to project programming, design reviews, and pro-forma analysis. You will oversee progress relative to contract construction schedule. You will schedule and document required government inspections during construction. You will communicate daily with owners, tenant reps, construction managers, superintendents, and project coordinators. You will manage multiple projects as primary liaison with client. You will review original estimates and analyze total proposal packages, proactive pre-job planning including: design development, conceptual estimating, scheduling, bidding, buyout, contracts, project team communications, and team building. You will timely handle client and subcontractor issues, RFIs, change orders, pay applications, monthly cost analysis, and reporting. You will resolve any project issues identified in monthly meetings.

The company is active in most sectors of commercial construction with a focus on multifamily, assisted living, education, retail, hospitality, and education. They take on projects of all sizes with a specialty in projects in the 25M to 35M dollar range. The company maintains a people-focused approach with a work environment that does not emphasize titles. They are looking to leverage their strong financial backing and backlog of work to continue their growth in the next fifteen years.

Requirements

We are looking for a self-starter and motivated individual who is looking to grow their construction career quickly. You should have a bachelor's degree, preferably in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field. You should have good organizational, communications, and interpersonal skills. You should have negotiating and relationship management skills. You should have leadership and management potential. You should be competent with Microsoft Office Suite, Construction Estimating and Accounting software. You should have effective communication skills to motivate your team. You should have the fortitude to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. You should be able to multi-task with a sense of urgency while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy.
