Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our dynamic team at GPAC. As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the planning and execution of commercial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and management of project plans, budgets, and schedules.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Assist with the coordination and procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
  • Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and RFIs.
  • Support the resolution of technical issues, conflicts, and changes during the construction process.
  • Assist with project cost tracking and analysis to ensure profitability.
  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to all safety regulations and protocols.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • 1+ years previous experience in commercial construction or project engineering is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and materials.
  • Proficiency in construction software and tools, including AutoCAD and project management software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and meet project deadlines.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
