Join a pioneering team that's revolutionizing the energy industry with cutting-edge technology. As a Senior Electrical Engineer on our Systems Engineering, BMS Electronics team, you'll play a crucial role in developing our battery module electronics and control systems for our energy storage system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with software and hardware engineers to design and develop a battery management system (BMS) that ensures seamless functionality and safety responses throughout the system.
  • Own the development of schematic capture, layout design, and release for various printed circuit boards (PCBAs).
  • Participate in sensor selection and connector interface definition to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Perform detailed engineering analysis to validate circuit power draw, voltage protection, over-current protection, thermal load, cycle life, and component-level failure modes and effects analysis (FMEAs).
  • Develop and support the execution of test plans to validate electronics and control systems for lab bring-up and field environments.
  • Engage with battery module and system design engineers to build Form's first-generation multi-day storage product.
  • Support the new product introduction and manufacturing scale-up activities, including quality inspection requirements, root cause failure analysis, and test equipment development.
Requirements:
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with 3-7 years of industry experience in product development.
  • Background in electronics development, fabrication, and assembly processes, with strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with industrial controls and serial communication protocols, as well as EMC/EMI sensitive design and analysis.
  • Foundational knowledge of embedded systems, high-voltage isolation, and power conversion switching circuit designs.
  • Prior experience in the energy storage, battery systems, or renewable energy industry is highly desired.
