Job Summary

Ryder is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Student Technician to join our team. As a Student Technician, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and knowledge in a professional shop environment, preparing you for a full-time technician position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and follow safe work habits to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Supplement in-class learning at school with industry experience, working alongside experienced technicians.
  • Complete daily assignments following the ASE Education Foundation Med/HD task list for accredited schools.
  • Work with a mentor to perform inspections and repairs of Medium and Heavy-Duty vehicles.
  • Complete inspection reports and track progress of tasks as assigned.
Requirements
  • Minimum age requirements and work hours will be determined by State Law.
  • Ability to professionally represent Ryder and competently engage with Ryder employees and customers.
  • Competent in basic computer skills and Microsoft Office environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to a safe work environment, quality execution, and customer service.
  • Must have a track record of above-average attendance.
  • Strong sense of personal accountability and a proven track record of achieving desired results.
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test and Ryder Background check.
