About the Company and Overview of the Senior Accountant Role:

  • Our client is a reputable non-profit organization in the housing sector, with a rich history of nearly 50 years. Due to a new project, they are seeking a Senior Financial Professional on a contract basis to assist with a balance sheet clean-up project. This project is expected to last approximately two months.
  • The company boasts a family-like atmosphere and a tight-knit, highly supportive team.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 100% in-office in Baltimore, MD to start. Potential for 1-2 days of remote work after training. Hours are 9:30am-5pm, but can be flexible if needed after training.
  • Hourly Rate: $40-43/hour, depending on experience.
  • Reports to the Director of Finance.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Financial Professional:

  • Manage a 4-year balance sheet clean-up project and complete it before the fiscal year-end.
  • Perform reconciliations.
  • Conduct financial statement and flux analysis.
  • Interpret financial presentations.

Ideal Candidate for this Position:

  • Possesses multitasking abilities, excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, and is able to work in high-pressure situations.
  • Has a positive attitude and is willing to take on a challenge.
  • Has an analytical mind and enjoys complex work.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements for the Senior Financial Professional:

  • 3+ years of accounting experience in a non-profit environment required.
  • Strong Excel experience required (pivot tables and vlookup).
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience using Sage Intacct.
