As the Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the procurement function within our organization. You will be responsible for overseeing all procurement activities, driving cost-effective sourcing strategies, building and nurturing relationships with suppliers, and ensuring the availability of quality materials and services to support our operations. Your leadership will contribute to the company's overall success by optimizing procurement processes and promoting efficiency.

This opportunity is located in the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to support project goals and corporate objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate and select suppliers and vendors, ensuring they meet quality standards and performance metrics.
  • Purchasing of photovoltaic equipment, including modules, inverters, cables, trackers, and other related materials.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to achieve optimal terms and conditions.
  • Manage procurement processes, including purchase orders, vendor relationships, and inventory control.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align procurement activities with project schedules and requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and sustainability practices.
  • Monitor market trends and supplier performance to proactively address potential issues or opportunities.
  • Conduct comparative analysis and propose contracts for awarding.
  • Manage international bulk purchases, logistics, and INCOTERMS.
  • Negotiate and contract construction subcontracts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of proven experience in procurement leadership roles, preferably in solar, renewable energy, or construction.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management, and supplier negotiation.
  • Strong knowledge of solar energy systems and materials.
  • Experience in ERP software, preferably Business Central.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proactive and dynamic individual.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
