Housing Operations Coordinator

Job Summary:
The Housing Assignment Coordinator is responsible for organizing and managing various programs and services serving students of assigned housing placement. This role works collaboratively with the Associate Director of Housing Operations and Administrative Services team to ensure timely and effective housing assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage housing occupancy through housing and meal plan assignments, input and update of offline rooms, inventories, and inspections.
- Facilitate housing operations and assist in developing, updating, and interpreting departmental policies and procedures.
- Coordinate and complete housing setup within StarRez, including building rate tables, building/floor tables, room attributes, and roommate tables.
- Serve as liaison with Information Technology Services, Business Services, Financial Aid/Scholarships, Registrar's Office, Athletics, Honors College, Student Accessibility Services, and Enrollment Management.
- Coordinate the development of various departmental reports with ITS, IR, and others who require access to resident data tables.
- Audit all contracts and billings, including housing and board plans, to assess accuracy for each resident.
- Maintain accurate capacity and occupancy records, including university and US census data.
- Provide statistical analysis and reporting for enrollment and housing application trends.
- Develop and implement quality improvement plans to operational procedures and policies.
- Supervise the collection of student payments, posting to the appropriate accounts, and forward payment and supporting documentation to Business Services.
- Maintain responsibility for all website design and changes, working collaboratively with the Occupancy Management team to define content and other materials.
- Monitor communications between all Housing and University Systems, including Banner, Blackboard, Touchnet, CS Gold, Texan Sync, and more as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three years of higher education, student affairs, or higher education housing experience.
- Knowledge of business communications and student information systems software.
- Master's degree and more than three years of higher education, student affairs, or higher education housing experience is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Banner and Housing Module is preferred.
