Position Overview:

Mille Lacs Health System is seeking a dedicated professional to enhance our healthcare services by providing expert consultation, training, and mentorship to our staff, healthcare providers, patients, and residents. This role requires close collaboration with the department Manager to ensure compliance with all regulatory standards while fostering effective communication with various stakeholders. The Dietitian will deliver services in both acute care and long-term care settings, focusing on nutrition assessments, education, and individualized care planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and approve therapeutic diet menu planning within the healthcare framework.
  • Provide ongoing dietary support and supervise daily food preparation and service operations.
  • Consult with management to identify areas for improvement and assist in implementing effective solutions.
  • Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient and resident care.
  • Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments, MDS documentation, and care planning for long-term care residents.
  • Engage in care conferences and participate in relevant committees.
  • Apply nutrition expertise across diverse age groups to provide tailored recommendations.
  • Implement IDDSI principles in food service practices and educate staff and medical teams accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Certification in Food Safety.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Food Service.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Registered Dietitian credential.
  • Current licensure in the state of Minnesota.
