Position: Nutrition Specialist

Overview

Mille Lacs Health System is looking for a dedicated Nutrition Specialist to deliver expert consultation, training, and guidance to our team, patients, and residents. This role collaborates closely with the department Manager to uphold regulatory compliance in both acute care and long-term care environments. Effective communication with patients, families, medical personnel, and staff is essential in this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversees and approves meal planning for specialized dietary needs
  • Supports and supervises food preparation processes
  • Engages with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care
  • Conducts nutrition evaluations and develops care plans for residents
  • Applies knowledge in diverse nutrition fields to provide informed recommendations

Essential Qualifications

  • Certification in Food Safety
  • 1-3 years of experience in Food Service
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
