Job Title: Senior Director for Data Programs

The Bloomberg Center for Government Excellence at Johns Hopkins University seeks a Senior Director for Data Programs to lead the administration of multiple data programs for local government leaders. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of designing and implementing high-impact programs focused on data, data systems, results-based, and performance management practices within the public sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of high-impact initiatives and programs, including proposals supporting new partnerships, collaborations, grants, and contracts.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of all GovEx initiatives and programs, providing guidance to directors, managers, program teams, and staff.
  • Ensure consistent monitoring and evaluation of program performance, making data-driven adjustments as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including funders, collaborators, core partners, and civic leaders and organizations.
Requirements:
  • Advanced degree required, preferably in business, finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience working in strategic planning, project management, or other related work.

  • Proven track record of designing and implementing high-impact programs focused on data, data systems, results-based, and performance management practices within the public sector.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and process optimization abilities.
