Assistant Professor Position

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor to join our faculty in the Department of Social Work at the University of New Hampshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate social work courses, developing a program of research, and engaging in service activities within and outside of the university.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching: The Assistant Professor will teach 4 courses per academic year, including undergraduate and graduate social work courses, both in-person and online. The candidate should have experience or the ability to teach courses related to Human Behavior in the Social Environment, Research Methods, Social Work Practice, and/or Race, Culture and Oppression.
Research: The successful candidate will develop a program of research with a focus on promoting health and public health needs of populations socially vulnerable and historically marginalized communities. The candidate should have a defined program of research with the potential for successful extramural funding.
Service: The Assistant Professor will engage in service activities within and outside of the university, including working collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and community groups of diverse backgrounds.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have a MSW degree and/or PhD in Social Work from a CSWE accredited institution. The candidate should have earned a doctorate in social work or a related field, evidence of successful undergraduate and/or graduate teaching experience, and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in both university campus and community settings. A minimum of two years of post MSW practice experience is preferred.
