Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Clinical Assistant Professor to join our Department of Social Work at the University of New Hampshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate social work courses, with a focus on diversity and equity. The ideal candidate will have experience working with historically under-represented and marginalized populations and will be able to foster an environment that supports antiracism and social justice practices.

Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Assistant Professor will be responsible for teaching six courses per academic year, including social work practice, policy, field internship seminar, and courses on race, culture, and oppression. The candidate will also be responsible for advising undergraduate and graduate students, as well as participating in departmental leadership and service responsibilities. The successful candidate will have experience or the ability to teach in in-person, hybrid, and/or online modalities and will be able to work collaboratively in both university campus and community settings with faculty, staff, students, and community groups of diverse backgrounds.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a MSW degree from a CSWE accredited institution and at least five years of post MSW experience, preferably in Generalist Practice. The candidate will also have evidence of successful undergraduate and/or graduate teaching experience, as well as experience teaching in in-person, hybrid, and/or online modalities. A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in both university campus and community settings with faculty, staff, students, and community groups of diverse backgrounds is also required. Prior experience doing community liaison work is preferred.
