Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing counseling services to clients, supervising interns, and supporting case conferencing and community-based treatment programs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with disenfranchised individuals and families, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group supervision to interns and associates
  • Provide direct services to clients, including intake, assessment, and counseling
  • Recruit, screen, and place interns to provide short-term counseling and case management services
  • Organize clinical in-service staff trainings to ensure best practice and consistency across programs
  • Support treatment team meetings and provide clinical supervision for staff working with difficult clients
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with mental health providers to ensure successful client transfers to longer-term services
  • Maintain accurate records and files, and prepare reports as required by funders and agency administration
  • Complete billing and enter data into electronic data systems as required
Requirements
  • LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW required with at least three years of experience in social services or counseling
  • Ability to supervise associates registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS)
  • Reliable transportation and valid California driver's license
