Program Head for Medical Laboratory Technologist Education

Fortis College is in search of a seasoned professional to lead its Medical Laboratory Technologist educational program. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of aspiring medical laboratory technologists through effective program management and instructional leadership.
Key Responsibilities
The Program Director will serve as the primary administrator responsible for:
- Strategic planning and organization of the program.
- Implementation and coordination of educational activities.
- Supervision and evaluation of instructional quality.
- Management of faculty training and development.
- Monitoring student progress and program outcomes.
- Ensuring compliance with institutional and programmatic accreditation standards.
Teaching and Engagement
In addition to administrative duties, the Program Director will also engage in teaching responsibilities and conduct regular visits to externship sites to assess student performance and maintain strong relationships with site management teams.

Qualifications

- At least three years of teaching experience.
- A Master's or Doctoral degree.
- ASCP-BOC or ASCP-BOC certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist.
- Knowledge of educational methodologies and accreditation processes.
- Documentation of proficiency in curriculum design and program planning.
