We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Mechanic II to join our team at Winland Foods, Inc. as a Food Production Equipment Specialist. This is a critical role that requires advanced knowledge of food production equipment and infrastructure, as well as excellent troubleshooting and repair skills.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Conducts routine maintenance and repairs on food production equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Troubleshooting and Diagnostic: Diagnoses and troubleshoots complex problems with equipment, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Preventive Maintenance: Performs scheduled maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Collaboration and Communication: Works closely with production teams, supervisors, and other maintenance personnel to ensure seamless equipment operation and minimize downtime.
- Continuous Improvement: Participates in process improvement initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall plant performance.
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, with completion of apprenticeship or technical school courses preferred. Three to five years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and industrial skills.
- Skills and Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of food production equipment and infrastructure, including hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems. Strong troubleshooting and repair skills, with ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with occasional need to work in confined spaces and high places.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English, with ability to read, write, and speak English. Bilingual Spanish a plus.
This role requires working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with exposure to various temperatures, noise levels, and physical demands. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
