OVERVIEW
• DAM System: Oversee the administration of the global asset management platform.
• Photography Management: Develop photography guidelines, provide digital technical support, and ensure all shoots are backed up.
• Image Retouching: Handle all retouching requests and manage vendor relationships, including budgets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
DIGITAL ASSET MANAGEMENT
• Accountable for the organization of image files and the uploading of all assets into the DAM.
• Maintain procedures for creative asset workflows and disseminate updates across various internal and external teams.
• Identify and implement new process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency using Digital Asset Management tools.
• Review and assign access rights and permissions within the Digital Asset Management system for all users.
• Provide weekly updates to users at all levels regarding new uploads and basic usage statistics of the DAM system.
• Acquire, label, and add keywords/metadata to photography, ensuring proper archiving within the DAM.
• Adhere to internal controls and retention policies as dictated by company standards.
• Responsible for training cross-functional teams on new naming conventions, processes, workflows, and the use of the DAM system.
PHOTOGRAPHY MANAGEMENT
• Collaborate closely with photography and retouching teams to ensure consistency from capture to final file upload in the DAM and other utilized systems.
• Maintain and revise Digital Tech Guidelines, liaising with Digital Technicians prior to each shoot, and coordinate the return of hard drives post-shoot.
IMAGE RETOUCHING
• Develop and manage a retouching review calendar for all necessary business partners, including art directors, styling teams, creative designers, marketing, agencies, and project managers.
• Facilitate the traffic of image assets for both print and digital creative projects, ensuring all stakeholders' expectations and deadlines are met.
• Maintain direct communication with Art Directors, Creative teams, and retouching partners to effectively relay selections, retouching direction, feedback, revisions, updates, and approvals throughout the retouching project lifecycle.
• Verify that all previous rounds of feedback have been incorporated and that all required parties have approved final files before they are published.
• Oversee the budget, manage open purchase orders, and reconcile vendor invoices related to the retouching process.
• Manage the Ad Hoc Project Intake Form process, assess the internal retouching team's capacity, and proactively address any potential capacity issues.
Who you are:
• 3 to 5 years of experience in project and digital asset management.
• Familiarity with the retouching process and a background in creative production is preferred.
• Experience collaborating with retouching vendors and creative teams.
• Ability to troubleshoot image files before sending them to vendors.
• Proficient in vendor management, including quality control and price negotiations.
• Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent decision-making, troubleshooting, negotiation, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Knowledge of AirTable is a plus.
