At Roush, we are seeking a highly skilled High-Performance Computing System Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our HPC team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational support of our CAE HPC and VDI infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, bash, python, and CAE software such as LS-DYNA, Nastran, StarCCM+, Abaqus, Fluent, etc. You will also be responsible for developing tools and scripts for simulation tests and optimization of simulation jobs, as well as documenting all changes.

As a High-Performance Computing System Administrator, you will work closely with our engineering staff and users to aid and instruct how to use the HPC resources optimally. You will also be responsible for identifying bottlenecks and assisting in maximizing performance of our HPC applications.

We are looking for a self-starter who can identify requirements independently, make proposals for solutions, and work on several projects simultaneously. If you have a strong background in engineering, computer science, or a related field, and are passionate about HPC, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day operational support of CAE HPC and VDI infrastructure
  • Developing tools and scripts for simulation tests and optimization of simulation jobs
  • Documenting all changes
  • Working closely with engineering staff and users to aid and instruct how to use the HPC resources optimally
  • Identifying bottlenecks and assisting in maximizing performance of HPC applications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, bash, python, and CAE software
  • Strong documentation skills and ability to communicate well with people of diverse backgrounds and computer knowledge
  • Ability to work with engineering staff and users to aid and instruct how to use the HPC resources optimally
