Nurse Specialist for GI and Pulmonary Procedures

UW Health University Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care to patients undergoing gastrointestinal and bronchoscopy procedures. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for administering sedation, managing the operating room, and ensuring seamless patient transitions.

About the Role

This is a 40-hour per week position with day, evening, and rotating shift schedules. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in recovering sedated GI and pulmonary procedures, such as ERCP, EUS, EGD, Colonoscopy, and endoscopy/Bronchoscopy. You must also possess two years of experience within the last three years.

Job Requirements
  • Administer moderate sedation during procedures and manage pre- and post-care for all levels, including PACU/Phase I and Phase II recovery
  • Provide high-quality care for patients during GI and Bronchoscopy procedures, ensuring effective communication with the surgical team
  • Maintain a safe and efficient operating room environment, adhering to hospital protocols and standards
