GI Tech Role in University Hospital

About the Job
We are seeking an experienced Endoscopy Technician to join our team at University Hospital in Madison, WI. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a highly skilled healthcare team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians or other providers with procedures in the gastroenterology and pulmonary endoscopy setting.
- Prepare patients for procedures, assisting providers during endoscopy.
- Monitor supply levels and restock procedure rooms.
- Troubleshoot specialty equipment.
- Follow strict infection control practices and use personal protective equipment.
Qualifications:
- Advanced Endoscopy experience (ERCP, EUS, EBUS, Celiac Plexus Block).
- Pulmonary procedures (Bronchoscopy, Thoracentesis, chest tubes, pleurx drains).
- 5-10 years of experience in GI or pulmonary medical procedures.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Compensation:
The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
