Job Summary

Wexford Health Sources, Inc. is seeking a skilled Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to provide medical services to inmates in a correctional setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ambulatory care and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Perform physical examinations, evaluations, and diagnoses for inmates
Manage acute and chronic conditions under the supervision of a licensed physician
Respond to medical emergencies and initiate care as needed
Order lab tests and medications according to established protocols and state regulations
Coordinate health treatment with other disciplines as necessary
Maintain accurate and complete documentation in inmate health records

Requirements

Current West Virginia RN/ARNP licensure and/or PA licensure as appropriate
Current CPR certification
Graduate of an accredited college/university program
Minimum two (2) years' experience in a correctional health setting
