Job Title: Project Engineer

Washington Water Service is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing advanced projects and working independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare Water System Plans
  • Prepare Project Reports and Construction Documents
  • Assist in the development and/or instruction/guidance of Technicians
  • Develop Improvement Project construction cost estimates
  • Assist in the development of the annual capital improvement program budgets
  • Perform hydraulic calculations and assessments, including use of hydraulic models
  • Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies
  • Instruct/guide draftspersons/technicians to reduce field notes and prepare working drawings
  • Visit construction sites to monitor progress according to the construction documents
  • Engage applicants and analyze system growth for proposed developments
  • Perform Project Management tasks, including creating and monitoring schedules, and budgets
  • Participate in and support the Company's Continuous Improvement program and projects
  • Prepare and review bid specifications
  • Manage construction or consultant work, change orders, invoices, inspection/validation, and requests for Information
  • Develop and monitor the scope, schedule and budget for assigned projects
  • Utilize Company financial software to accurately monitor project costs during and at the end of construction
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related fields
  • Three years of relevant Engineering experience
  • Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certificate preferred
  • Valid Washington Driver License
