The Opportunity:

Avantor is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to drive growth and expansion in the local Pharma, Biopharma, and Industrial markets.

This full-time position is based in the Bay Area/N. C. region, offering a unique opportunity to consultatively sell Avantor's comprehensive portfolio of products and services to a diverse range of current and prospective clients.

As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Building and sustaining relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Developing and executing strategic territory business plans and strategies to achieve sales growth and quota attainment.
  • Managing Avantor's vast product portfolio and implementing company-defined sales and marketing strategies.
  • Prospecting and establishing new customers by managing a sales pipeline and delivering proposals that illustrate Avantor's value proposition.
  • Expanding Avantor's role with existing customers by developing retention strategies and illustrating Avantor's value proposition in conjunction with evolving customer requirements.
  • Representing and developing strong relationships with manufacturers.
  • Working directly with local manufacturer representatives to develop and improve product knowledge, arrive at the most favored pricing, and improve account profitability.

Requirements:

  • Education: College degree or equivalent/applicable experience required.
  • Experience: Prefer 2-5 years of experience working in a complex sales environment, where multiple people are involved in the purchasing decision and there is a solution-based selling approach.
  • Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Office, specifically Teams with a preference for experience in Salesforce or Clikview.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Science or manufacturing research background, distribution experience, and excellent communication and team interaction skills.

Pay Transparency:

The expected pre-tax pay for this position is $82,000.00 - $137,000.00. Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
