Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Bryan Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of nuclear medicine procedures, including PET/CT and Spect/CT, under the supervision of a qualified physician.
  • Prepare radiopharmaceuticals for administration by injection, ingestion, and inhalation, and apply EKG patches and cables as needed.
  • Use sterile technique to ensure patient safety and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Optimize patient anatomy and function through proper positioning, isotope selection, and technical factor selection.
  • Perform venipuncture and adhere to all state and federal regulatory requirements for radiation control and safety procedures.
  • Assist radiologists in the therapeutic use of radioisotopes under prescribed safety conditions.
  • Competently operate all nuclear medicine equipment, EPIC, and PACS, and perform and evaluate images for technical quality.
  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care and procedures in accordance with established nuclear medicine standards and guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of isotopes used and complete quality control on scanning equipment.
  • Review patient history and provide accurate documentation of studies.
  • Properly care for and image patients of all ages, maintaining patient confidentiality and providing excellent customer service.
  • Coordinate exams within the department and with other departments to provide expedient and complete care.
  • Communicate effectively with medical staff, coworkers, patients, families, and other hospital staff to ensure quality patient care.
  • Participate in the department's quality improvement plan and contribute to the development of new procedures and protocols.
Requirements
  • Current certification or registration by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (CNMT) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required.
