Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at CHI Health St. Elizabeth. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Properly assess patients and their abilities to participate in ordered procedures.
  • Provide clear explanations of procedures, including duration, process, and what to expect following completion.
  • Select and prepare the proper equipment, setting technical factors and gathering supplies prior to performance of the procedure.
  • Obtain clear and complete histories from patients and record data into patient records to assist in image interpretation and future patient encounters.
  • Perform quality assessments of images obtained and evaluate equipment issues, reporting assessments to supervisors, managers, or directors.
  • Ensure all equipment is in working order at the beginning of the day and prior to starting procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine Program.
  • Certification by the American Registry of Technologists in Nuclear Medicine, the American Board of Nuclear Medicine, the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board, or the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.
  • Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist License if working in the state of Iowa or Nebraska.
  • BLS from the American Heart Association required upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of methods and ability to perform venipuncture as required for the position.
  • Demonstrated ability to set and maintain multiple priorities in an environment with shifting priorities, while providing accurate deliverables in a timely fashion.
  • Self-motivation and ability to take ownership of projects/assignments.
  • Excellent follow-up and customer service skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and writing skills.
