Job Title: Nuclear Medicine TechnologistJob Summary:

CrossMed Allied is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team for a travel assignment in Lincoln, Nebraska. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to nuclear medicine procedures, including preparing patients for exams, operating imaging equipment, and analyzing images to diagnose and treat medical conditions.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures, including preparing patients for exams, operating imaging equipment, and analyzing images to diagnose and treat medical conditions.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients, ensuring accurate dosing and minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment, including PET and SPECT scanners, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including radiologists, nurses, and other technologists, to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans, taking into account individual patient needs and medical histories.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in nuclear medicine technology and techniques, attending workshops and conferences as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nuclear medicine technology.
  • Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) or equivalent.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in nuclear medicine, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment, as well as stand for long periods of time.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
