Position Overview:

We are in search of a skilled Estimator specializing in Commercial Concrete within the Construction sector. This role presents an exciting chance to become part of a new team within a billion-dollar enterprise that is focused on growth. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in commercial construction, particularly in concrete projects, and demonstrate a successful history in preconstruction phases. This position will primarily involve large-scale endeavors, including airports, stadiums, and convention centers. A successful candidate will excel in precise estimation, possess a meticulous attention to detail, and have a commitment to delivering high-quality projects on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Generate detailed cost estimates by analyzing architectural plans and specifications while performing quantity take-offs for designated trades.
2. Collaborate with project management teams to gain a thorough understanding of project specifications and requirements.
3. Review and assess cost estimates to ensure accuracy and thoroughness.
4. Engage in proposal development and client presentations.
5. Provide technical assistance to project management and business development teams.
6. Assess subcontractor and supplier quotes to confirm compliance with project specifications.
7. Maintain a detailed database of cost and statistical information.
8. Work alongside architects, engineers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors on project cost estimates.
9. Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in commercial concrete construction.
10. Participate in project meetings to contribute to planning and scheduling discussions.

Qualifications:

1. At least 3 years of experience as an estimator in the commercial construction sector, specifically in concrete construction.
2. Proven expertise in preconstruction and experience with large-scale projects such as airports, stadiums, and convention centers.
3. Advanced understanding of estimating methodologies, cost management, and material pricing.
4. Proficiency in industry-specific software for cost estimation and take-off processes.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
8. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
9. A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
10. A comprehensive understanding of the construction industry and a commitment to staying current with emerging trends and advancements.
