Job Summary

The Marshall Health Network is seeking a skilled Financial Systems Analyst II to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our financial information systems, ensuring seamless operations and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and troubleshoot financial information systems, resolving issues and improving system efficiency.
  • Provide first-level support to end-users, addressing their queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop and implement system documentation, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information for users.
  • Collaborate with software vendors to resolve system issues and ensure timely updates.
  • Stay informed about recommended software updates and ensure that our systems meet the required specifications.
  • Participate in implementation and upgrade projects, providing system process knowledge and configuration expertise.
  • Promote best practices for application systems, enhancing user experience and productivity.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Perform minor hardware repairs and troubleshoot PC issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Continuously improve system performance, striving for excellence in customer experience.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adjusting to shifting priorities and expectations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of supported solutions and develop test scripts for database integrity.
  • Assist in developing and testing integration test scripts across impacted applications.
  • Demonstrate honesty, discretion, and confidentiality in all work environments.
  • Report patient safety concerns and hazardous conditions in a timely manner.
  • Streamline systems to reduce redundancy and improve patient care.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering support calls and logging tickets promptly.
  • Offer immediate troubleshooting assistance to ensure continued system efficiency.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, aiding customer understanding of system functionality.
  • Create or log enhancements for specialized queries at the request of nurse managers.
  • Use positive language to create a positive perception of our company, software, and service.
  • Maintain a positive persona, even in challenging situations.
  • Maintain good time management and be transparent in processes and projects.
  • Document issue resolution and communicate with peers for improved support.
  • Strive for service excellence in process and practice.

Requirements
  • Degree in Health Information Management or Information Systems or related field required.
  • College-level study leading to a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification by the American Health Information Management Association.
  • 3 years of education and 3 years of work experience.
  • 2 years of education and 5 years of work experience.
  • 1 year of education and 7 years of work experience.
  • 0 college education and 9 years of work experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience providing customer/end-user support of information systems, operating systems, software applications, and related hardware.
  • Working knowledge of typical business applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, OneNote, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of Networking, authentication, operation, and navigation.
  • Good interpersonal skills to interact with diverse user communities and groups.
  • Analytical skills required to support, maintain, train, and troubleshoot.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including courtesy, honesty, discretion in conduct, and confidentiality associated with all areas of the work environment.
