About the Role

Columbia Distributing is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for advancing and securing sales in the market, performing functions to secure new business accounts, and facilitating the needs of existing sales accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute against all sales and distribution goals by adhering to monthly, quarterly, and annual business objectives and company initiatives.
  • Maximize distribution, displays, and promotions for all new and existing products in all channels of the business.
  • Ensure company standards are followed and implemented in all accounts and channels.
  • Manage inventory expenses to company policy.
  • Track and monitor all monthly brand goals and objectives.
  • Work with district managers to execute and track all company and supplier goals, including volume, profit, distribution, and promotional activity.
  • Effectively sell, rotate, and merchandise the company portfolio in all assigned accounts.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of all decision-makers in each account.
  • Assist and attend all sales meetings, promotional events, and company events/functions.
  • Maintain a high level of industry knowledge, including market trends, share, and competitor activity.
  • Participate in store resets, representing the company in a professional manner.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and follow through, while developing rapport with assigned accounts.
  • Maintain positive, cooperative, and team-oriented relationships with those you interact with while working.
  • Adhere to all state liquor laws and regulations.
  • Submit all required reporting, preplans, trackers, surveys, market surveys, expense reports, mileage logs, etc.
  • Monitor competitive activity and communicate strategies.
  • Conduct promotions in assigned accounts monthly as required.
  • Minimum visibility in assigned accounts should be equal to or greater than competition.
  • Complete all other tasks and projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • General knowledge of industry products.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external customers.
Work Environment

This role operates in our accounts, mostly indoors with occasional outdoor work.

Physical Demands
  • Lift/Carry 50lbs.
  • Push/pull up to 100lbs.
  • Bend/stoop/crouch/squat/use arms/wrists/hands/grasp.
  • Climb stairs/ladder.
  • Work indoors and outdoors.
  • Drive.
  • Operate equipment.
Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, with days/hours of work varying, and may include weekends.

Travel

Local travel only.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum two (2) year previous sales experience.
  • Minimum one (1) year previous beverage industry experience.
Compensation

Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
