Position Overview:

The incumbent will operate under general supervision, performing a range of radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations utilizing both fixed and portable imaging devices within General Diagnostic Radiology. This role adheres to established protocols and guidelines, requiring advanced expertise in radiologic technology.

The Radiologic Technologist will:

  • Prepare and position patients effectively for procedures, ensuring optimal image quality through established protocols.
  • Follow directives from the Radiologist while entering complex data into the imaging system.
  • Review and assess images and radiographs to guarantee technical and image quality standards are met.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Exhibit proficient communication and conflict resolution skills with patients, colleagues, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Note: Depending on the experience of the selected candidate, this position may be filled at either the Radiologic Technologist or Senior Radiologic Technologist level.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Recent graduate from an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • California Radiology Technologist of Radiography (CRT-R) certification.
  • California Radiology Technologist of Fluoroscopy (CRT-F) certification within six months of hire, required for Senior Radiologic Technologist consideration.
  • Registered Technologist for Radiography issued by ARRT (R.T(R)(ARRT)).
  • BART or BLS certification at the time of hire, with a commitment to obtain BART within six months.
  • Less than 18 months of relevant experience in a similar role or a new graduate from an approved program (Rad Tech) OR more than 18 months of experience (Sr. Rad Tech).
  • Possess the necessary skills, knowledge, and abilities for successful performance in this role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience in a similar capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience in a hospital setting.

Special Conditions:

  • Must be available to work various hours and locations based on operational needs.
  • Flexibility to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, and occasional overtime as required.
  • Employment is contingent upon passing a criminal background check and pre-employment physical examination.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $97,781 - $121,605 (subject to prorating based on appointment percentage).

Hourly Equivalent: $58.24

Compensation factors include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure, certifications, and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the anticipated salary or hourly range for this position.
