Job Summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and technical expertise in the field of interventional radiology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the indirect supervision, provides patient services using imaging modalities.
  • Evaluates images for technical quality and exercises professional attitude and judgment in the performance of duties.
  • Recognizes patient conditions requiring immediate action and initiates life support measures.
  • Upholds Kaiser Permanente's Policies and Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities and applicable state, federal and local laws.
  • Deals with customer complaints in a positive way and identifies the impact of cultural diversity and lifestyle choices on patient condition.
  • Demonstrates competence in the operation of radiographic equipment, both mobile and stationary in various patient care settings.
  • Consistently selects other equipment settings/parameters and processes radiographic images properly, utilizing automated equipment.
  • Operates imaging computer properly and in accordance with department protocols (CT, MRI).
  • Demonstrates knowledge of, and consistently uses ancillary equipment (e.g. catheters, guidewires, etc.).
  • Assesses data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to their age-specific needs.
  • Documents clinical activities in a timely, comprehensive, and accurate manner.
  • Completes and initials the standard consultation form and the Radiology Processing Record accurately and immediately following each procedure.
Requirements
  • Minimum two (2) years experience as a staff technologist in Interventional Radiology or successful completion of the department angiography interventional training program.
  • ARRT-Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) and/or Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV) certification.
  • Additional training in the use and practices of angiography interventional procedures.
Working Conditions

Standby Call, after hours and weekend and holidays. Shift hours and/or location may vary based on operational needs.
