Job Overview:- Execute intricate administrative functions for Nursing Services under the supervision of the Chief Nurse Executive.
- Exhibit the capability to operate autonomously, demonstrating initiative and sound judgment while making decisions within your scope of authority.
- Collaborate with various managerial tiers within the organization.
- Prepare, review, and distribute staffing schedules for Nursing Services.
- Compile and assess data pertinent to budgetary and staffing requirements.
- Assist in monitoring nursing performance to ensure adherence to regulations and accreditation standards.
- Maintain regular attendance and adhere to designated shift schedules.
- Provide administrative support for Nursing Services, managing workflow with minimal oversight.
- Facilitate effective communication between Nursing Administration and other departments.
- Efficiently screen and manage incoming phone calls.
- Prepare and disseminate staffing schedules for direct care personnel.
- Review staffing reports, coordinate coverage, and analyze statistics for evaluation purposes.
- Handle correspondence and inquiries with professionalism.
- Organize and prepare for various meetings, including setting agendas and taking minutes.
- Analyze departmental data and generate reports for management review.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and develop educational materials.
- Familiarity with office practices, administrative protocols, and business communication.
- Proficiency in utilizing office equipment and software, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to effectively implement administrative procedures.
- Capacity to interpret and clearly communicate rules, policies, and procedures.
- Skill in managing multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of mental health program principles.
