Job Summary:

The CPI Supervisor is a senior-level position responsible for managing administrative staff and a unit of caseworkers conducting Investigations and Alternative Response (AR) cases within the CPI Division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides consultative services, technical assistance, and supervision to caseworkers to ensure timely contact with families and mitigate child safety and risk-related issues.
  • Reviews and evaluates unit performance through case readings, data warehouse reports, and field visits to ensure compliance with policy, procedure, and service control requirements.
  • Develops and implements solutions to improve case outcomes and ensures the best interest of the child is prioritized.
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to provide subject matter expertise and guidance on child welfare practices.
  • Manages and develops staff through performance appraisals, training, and coaching to ensure productivity and quality of work.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to the INV/AR program.
  • Specialized knowledge of INV/AR program and child welfare practice.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer and use various software packages.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
Working Conditions:

The CPI Supervisor works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Regular on-call duties are required, including holidays and weekends.
