Recruitment and Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team at Wastequip, LLC. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for delivering HR processes that support our mission and drive business success.
Key Responsibilities- HR Operations: Manage the day-to-day aspects of HR, including staffing, performance management, compliance, discipline, benefit administration, training, and reporting.
- Employee Relations: Coach supervisors on managing employee performance, counsel employees on job performance, attendance, and behaviors; collaborate with local leadership to make HR decisions.
- Benefits and Compensation: Act as a liaison between employees and the company regarding payroll, benefits, and HR-related topics; ensure compliance with employment laws.
- Training and Development: Lead the Safety Quality and Productivity scorecard for your site; coordinate with division safety leads to ensure safety logs and documentation are updated regularly and organized.
- Incident Investigation: Participate in incident investigation as needed; ensure compliance with employment laws.
- HR Projects: Provide support for other HR projects; interpret, answer questions, and counsel employees on company policies.
- Employee Engagement: Develop recommendations and coordinate employee relations activities and special projects to maintain a positive employer-employee relationship and maintain morale.
- Reporting and Analytics: Conduct HR investigations and submit findings and recommendations to the plant leadership team; coordinate responses to site unemployment claims.
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Coordinate non-exempt job placement, including posting jobs, evaluating applications, interviewing candidates, scheduling skills assessments, extending offers, and onboarding.
- Training and Development: Work closely with the Operations Trainer to coordinate and facilitate training (including new employee training) as needed.
- Exit Interviews: Assist with conducting exit interviews; analyze findings and make recommendations to reduce turnover.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred; comparable experience may be substituted for a degree.
- Experience: Minimum Five (5) years of previous generalist experience required; manufacturing or distribution facilities optimal.
- Certifications: PHR or SHRM CP certification is a plus.
- Skills: Strong HR Generalist background with 3-5 years as an HR Professional in a manufacturing environment; proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Personal Qualities: Detail-oriented with a high sense of urgency; bilingual in Spanish a plus; ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive issues professionally.
- Business Acumen: Has working knowledge of HR best practices and compliance with government and legal regulations; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team; problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
